Answers to the questions we hear most

We understand that choosing the right school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Below are answers to the questions we receive most often from prospective and current families.

ACES Schools offers a dual curriculum — integrating the British National Curriculum and the Nigerian National Curriculum — giving students the flexibility to pursue further education locally or internationally. Our campus is situated in a calm, secure and well-resourced environment away from the city centre, creating an ideal setting for focused learning. We are also distinguished by our highly qualified and experienced teaching staff, our commitment to holistic child development, and our record of sustained academic excellence.

At ACES Schools, we prepare students not just for examinations, but for life. Students are encouraged to apply classroom knowledge to real-world contexts through assembly presentations, educational excursions, and structured visits to government institutions and other organisations of significance. These experiences develop critical thinking, self-confidence, leadership and a genuine love of learning.

ACES Schools operates a strict zero-tolerance policy on bullying in all its forms — physical, verbal, social or digital. Every reported incident is taken seriously and addressed in accordance with our Disciplinary Policy. Our Student Code of Conduct — shared with both students and parents at enrolment — sets out clearly the standards of behaviour expected of every member of our school community, ensuring a safe, respectful and nurturing environment for all.

Our approach to discipline is firmly restorative and corrective — never punitive. We guide students toward positive behaviour through counselling, mentoring and structured, age-appropriate consequences. Corporal punishment, flogging, and any form of degrading or abusive treatment are strictly and unconditionally prohibited at ACES Schools. We are committed to fostering self-discipline, personal responsibility and mutual respect in a safe, caring and supportive environment.

ACES Schools stands apart through our combination of a dual national and international curriculum, proven academic results, and a genuinely holistic approach to education. We offer small class sizes (maximum 15–20 students) for personalised attention, highly qualified and dedicated staff, and modern, well-equipped facilities including science laboratories, a Robotics Lab and an ICT suite. We also have a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Department and a strong culture of pastoral care that ensures every child feels valued and supported.

ACES Schools currently operates exclusively as a Day School. All students attend school on a day basis, and there are no boarding facilities at present.

The safety and security of our students, staff and visitors is our foremost priority. Uniformed, trained security personnel are stationed at all school entry points around the clock, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Access to the school premises is strictly controlled and monitored. Our campus environment is carefully managed to ensure that it remains safe and secure at all times.

Each classroom at ACES Schools accommodates a maximum of 15 to 20 students. This deliberately small class size enables our teachers to provide each child with the individual attention, targeted feedback and personalised support that are essential for effective learning and development.

Yes. ACES Schools is proud to offer an inclusive educational environment through our dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Department, staffed by trained and experienced specialists. Our SEN team provides individualised support for students with a wide range of learning needs and developmental conditions, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other identified learning and developmental needs. Every child at ACES Schools has the opportunity and support to succeed.
